Aweng Paskua is a yearly choral competition among choral groups in the City of Baguio and its neighboring provinces sponsored by BCFUMC. It continues to foster unity and camaraderie among different choral groups, a social ministry exemplying God’s love during the Chirstmas Season, a sound that echoes through Christmas.
Already on its fourth year, Aweng Paskua has become a landmark Christmas activity in the City of Baguio. The City Council has approved in 2005 to include the choral competition in the city’s Christmas Season celebration, “Silahis ng Paskua”.
The Young Adults (UMYAF) continues to spearhead the church-wide program and its network of sponsors and supporters continue to expand. N. Arnel De Pano, multi-awarded composer and singer, committedly writes the yearly contest piece.
May God, who is our reason in every music and lyrics that we sing, be glorified as Aweng Paskua continues to minister through music. For the glory of God… |
