One Step Closer to Vision 20/20

One Step Closer to Vision 20/20

The Mission and Evangelism team of the Baguio City First United Methodist Church has yet again began another mission project to propel the race to Vision 20/20 forward. The Raois, Santo Tomas Mission Project started last March of this year. It began with weekly activities every Wednesday including Bible studies and worship services conducted by Pastor Pete Torio and the ministry team. From these starting blocks, the project has become one of the prospective accomplishments for the Mission and Evangelism team in the coming years with the aim of establishing a mission congregation in the community.
Recently, the advancements in the project include the on-going construction of a temporary church sanctuary. With the support of the people living in the community, BCFUMC's UMM, NEPD UMM, D.S. Henry Roque, Mission Pastors and the Mission and Evangelism team of BCFUMC, it is hoped that the construction be successfully completed. Worship services are now regularly being held on Sunday afternoons by Pastor Al Rebamontan who is the assigned Pastor of the church congregation. There are currently an average of 24 adults and children attending church services.
Raois Mission CongregationBCFUMC fervently prays for the success of this new endeavor. We are reminded of our church's vision of establishing 20 local churches by the year 2020 and it is by God's grace and guidance that we are again one step closer to achieving our goal. To God be the glory!
