Boklaoan, Sowe, Sapu-an, Guesset, Aguioas and Pito are the mission areas of Baguio CIty First United Methodist Church where efforts in reaching out communities for Christ are being poured out. The efforts include spiritual, educational, infrastracture and economic aspects.
SPIRITUAL. Student pastors and the Mission Team have been assigned in these areas, conducting worship services and Bible studies.
EDUCATIONAL. Sowe has its learning center as an extension of Baguio CIty First Learning Center, Incorporated.
INFRASTRACTURE. Baguio CIty First United Methodist Church had already built the sanctuaries and parsonages of Boklaoan and Sowe. Sapuan parsonage is already in its finishing phase. At present, the church is raising funds for the construction of the sanctuary (Phase II) in Guesset, Naguillian, La Union.
ECONOMIC. Programs to assist the members with their economic well-being is actively supported through income projects for individuals and groups.
HUMBLE BEGINNING Baguio City First United Methodist Church has always been passionate in sharing and proclaiming the Gospel of Christ since Methodist work started in 1952. After 46 years of missionary efforts, BCFUMC had established 3 daughter churches and 5 worshipping congregations in the Cordilleras.
Equipped with their faithfulness and zeal in winning more souls to Crist, the Mission Team has partnered with Christian brethren, Korean Methodist Church, Williamsburg UMC, etc. The Methodist Mission Center, formerly Christian Mission Center, was erected in partnership with Korean Missionaries and now houses the Office of the Bishop (Baguio Episcopal Area), BCFUMC Office, ,and the Baguio City First Learning Center.
